Mount Pelee

Mt. Pelee is a stratovolcano, which is another name for a composite volcano.

Mt. Pelee has a "sloping cone" and has two craters, at Mount Pelee's summit there was at one point a basin and in the basin is a lake called, the Lac des Palmistes which is  Mt. Pelee's first crater. Mt. Pelee's second crater is called L'Etang sec. Mt.Pelee also has one vent, and produces felsic lava, it is has a very high amount of silica in the lava and little iron and magnesium, due to the lava composition Mt.Pelee has very explosive eruptions, and also the lava has created spines in the volcano.
